Natural Hair Boredom Blues
So I've been natural for a year and a month or so (for the second time) and I'm at that phase where my hair is deciding what it wants to do. Does it want to continue to grow upward and out or will I start to get some hang time...
Honestly at this point I don't know what to do with my hair, I really wish I knew how to braid and flat twists. I know there are tons of resources but I need some hands on training. I wear puffs,twists,twist outs and unsuccessful braid outs :(
Part of me is really contemplating loc'ing because I have one of those faces that if hair is not down or around it I look like I'm 5 - 10 years younger. If I was 40 maybe I would be ok with that but I'm 27 and people always think I'm 20/21. I had an older women chat with me at the Marta station and we wear just speaking about how times have changed. As we were talking she stopped me and asked "how old are you?" I told her my age and she responds saying "I thought you were about 15/16!". I was a little insulted and wanted to give her the side eye of death...but I digress. Maybe some solution will fall into my lap or maybe I will just get scissor happy. Till next time.

aaaw...I completely understand you. When I went natural, I thought my hair was going to be like a round fro like michael jackson..no ma'am
it grows out, uneven and no matter how much i cut, nothing ..it does its own thing
i loove when people think i am in my early 20s...lol..i am a year older than you..except when in my passport, they said i was 18..hell naaw...
locs will look goooooooorgeous on you! Take your time, do your research on method, how you would like to start, do it yourself or loctician and then take a deep breath and go for it :)
Well, you know how long I have been natural and what I have gone through with my hair. I just wanna say thank you for telling me about KBB, it is wonderful it leaves my hair soft and shiney, even my brother notice which to me is a shocker, lol.I love it it does what it says and it smells really good, thank you.And I like the new banner.I also think you should not loc up your hair and do what we discussed to your hair first then if that don't work than .......loc it up.
